Bearpaw Boots - Ugg Lookalike Or Alternative?

why are bearpaw so cheap?

Bearpaw boots are cheap because people are comparing them directly with ugg which are of course much more expensive and since there are similarities in design between some of them direct comparisons are made. The price does not reflect any cost cutting in manufacturing at all.

Since bearpaw boots are so cheap are they good?

Let me tell you. They are well made and do not fall apart, like some people expect. The question people should be asking is.Why are other makes so expensive.

Are bearpaw boots as comfortable as ugg?

This question is asked again and again. I have been asked this question so many times. The answer is yes. You or your feet will not be able to tell the difference.

My personal opinion is they are very comfortable, as you would expect from a well made pair of boots and if you put on a pair of ugg, then immediately after a pair of bearpaw you are not going to notice any difference between them at all. I dare you to tell me which pair is which without seeing the label.

If bearpaw boots are so good why is everyone not wearing them?

Let me tell you a little secret. Everyone is buying them, and a lot of people are saying they are wearing ugg when they are really wearing bearpaw boots. They are having the last laugh.

Try telling them apart.

you will not find a shop selling ugg and bearpaw side by side. Do you want to know why? All you need to do is look at them and the answer is staring at you. They look pretty much identical.

Are Bearpaw made from synthetic or cheap materials

No. they are made from exactly the same materials as other more expensive makes. Sheepskin or suede.

why are people buying other more expensive makes then?

Just so you know the score.People think they are better because they are more expensive, that simply is not true. In the current financial climate people should be saving money not spending double the amount for similar boots. Do not be fooled into doing by this.

Customize Your Jeans

When you buy a pair of jeans there is inevitably something that doesn't work out about them. For me it is often the ankle and the heel. Jeans tend to fit me fairly well throughout but in those two areas I still have a hard time finding a pair that fit perfectly. This often means that I will be forced to customize these jeans to work for me. I have three major pairs of shoes that I wear with jeans my converse chucks, black dress loafers and flip flops. Often times if I go with jean that already has a boot cut fit they work for the loafers but I end up dragging my heel under the other shoes. Sometimes this can give you a nice distressed look to the heel of your jean, but on a rainy day it just means frozen feet and disgusting muddy heels on your jeans.

My simple answer is to go with a boot fit jean that doesn't drag under my heel to much. Then cut the cuffs of the jeans vertically along the inside and outside seam to open the boot cut up further. This cut will look odd at first but after a few washings it will look nice and distressed and ad some personality to your jeans. The other answer is to cut the heel of your jeans out. Be careful when you do this and always cut on the side of caution. Once you cut the fabric away it cannot be put back. This cut will also look strange at first but after washing the jeans it will start to develop a nice distressed look. I always think it is better to cut your jeans specifically to what you needs are. Take the time to decide how to alter your jeans to make the work better for you next time you are looking to buy a pair.

Cynthia Nixon and Her Manolo Blahniks

Cynthia Nixon and her character in Sex and the City both have a passion for great shoes. She has been seen on and off the red carpet with the most glamorous and stylish gowns and outfits and always with a pair of matching shoes. However, she admits that one of her most favorite shoe designers would be Manolo Blahnik.

Cynthia considers Manolo Blahnik as a true living fashion icon who has been able to give the unbelievably sexy pair of shoes that go by his name.

Manolo?s as they are more commonly known, made its first debut back in 1972, which was created and designed for Ossie Clark. Over the years, it has made its way to the most elite circles and are worn in the most prestigious fashion shows for Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, Michael Kors and John Galliano.

Perhaps, it has been made most popular by its countless appearances in Sex and the City by Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, and confiding that she has shelled out more than $40,000 in one year which were mostly Manolo?s.

For daytime, shoe styles that Cynthia particularly goes for would be the perfect pointy toe sling backs. She also confides in owning Manolo Blahnik?s Mary Janes, which is a sexier type and version of our favorite childhood shoes. For night time, she has Manolo?s that are dressier and strappy. They are fashionably timeless.

Manolo Blahnik has been hailed as the best accessory designer during the years 1990 and 1999 by the British Fashion Council. In 2003, Manolo Blahnik (the man) was honored for his amazing work in the Design Museum in London by a display of exhibit of all his work which includes his collections, memorabilia and drawings.

Manolo Blahnik have only two stores in the world, in New York and in London. Although, Manolo?s are being sold worldwide at specialty department stress. Be prepared to spend $500 up for every pair.

Your Casual Wear Needs An Update!

As a woman, it is much easier to dress in trendy fashions. Entire stores are dedicated to the low-cost yet fashionable pieces that women crave. We can buy cute, inexpensive clothes in bulk, wear these discount pieces about a dozen times and then throw them out once the hems start fraying, the thin fabric starts tearing and the buttons start popping off. Women's fashion magazines will show images of gorgeous models on the runway wearing the next big thing right next to an article that demonstrates step-by-step how to create this runway look for under fifty bucks. Women's fashion trends come and go in the blink of an eye, but with celebrity gossip rags, fashion magazines galore and department stores hawking these reasonably priced looks, it is easy for most women to keep up. Now, men's fashion...well, that's a completely different beast!

Consider this during your next department store visit: while the women's department can take up an entire two floors, the men's department is usually tucked away in the back corner of one of the floors, taking up minimal space. I can remember several times going shopping with my metro sexual husband and wondering why he would take so long finding one outfit while I could find no less than a dozen in under thirty minutes. After all, the men's department was minuscule compared to the multitude of racks in the women's department I had to climb through. And, yet, this is precisely why it is so difficult for men to find that perfect outfit for a certain occasion. Men's fashion is a lot more stable than women's ever-changing fashion, which is not to say that a Flock of Seagulls haircut would go over as well today as it did in the 80s, but you get my point. Men's clothing includes several more classic pieces that can withstand the test of time, like the white oxford shirt, the white t-shirt and a classic pair of blue jeans.

If you are one of those men who would rather avoid social scenes altogether than go shopping for an outfit to fit the occasion, read on for some tips on pieces you should have in your closet for casual wear. For most men, casual wear consists of an old t-shirt, cargo shorts and flip-flops. Sure, this is a great outfit to wear when mowing the lawn or staying indoors to get drunk and play Guitar Hero all night with a bunch of guy friends, but we are talking about kicking standards up...way up. For instance, what would you say is a great outfit to wear for a first date or to the office on a casual day? You get an F if you even mention your Converse or ultra-skinny jeans. You get an A, however, if you think of at least three of the following casual pieces.

Slim-fit and/or straight-leg jeans - Oh, it used to be all about the boot leg jean back in the glory of our college years! We would cut and fray the bottom of our jeans with the occasional rebel throwing caution to the wind and going full bell bottom. These days, however, slim is in. Slim-fit, straight-legged jeans are casual enough to wear when going out for drinks with the guys, but they can just as easily be paired with a great button shirt and blazer to get you through that first nerve-wracking date. Darker rinses are an easy bet; avoid acid-washed jeans unless you happen to have a time machine set for the 1980s...or you want to remain dateless for the rest of eternity.

White oxford button-down shirt - Talk about a classic that never goes out of style. The white oxford shirt is comparable to a woman's "little black dress." All men need to have at least one of these in their closet for both formal and casual wear. Be sure this shirt is tailored for your body. One of the worst fashion mistakes men make is to wear a button-down shirt that is too bulky (oversized button-down shirts make a man appear frumpy and plump) or one that is too tight (if you can't close the neck button, that's your first clue to go up a size...and, no, you cannot hide this with a tie). The white oxford can take you through all seasons and can be worn under a sweater, blazer or alone paired with khakis or jeans. For a great casual office look, pair the white oxford with some dark-rinse straight-leg jeans, a skinny tie and some conversation-making cufflinks.

Blazer - The blazer is not quite a suit, but still quite classy. Men would be well-advised to keep a blazer or two in their closet for those casual occasions that call for just a bit more formality. Your best bet would be to choose a solid-colored blazer that will stand the test of time. No, it is not necessary to wear a blazer with dress pants. In fact, blazers go quite well with jeans and dress shoes. Opt for a black blazer first. This will pretty much guarantee you will get more use out of it over time.

Black/brown shoes - Naturally, you will want to have some shoes to wear with your oxford and blazer, right? Splurge a little on this item and go for well-made Italian shoes that will be more durable and more classic than other styles. The Italians know shoes almost as well as they know pasta...trust me on this issue. These shoes will fare well for both your casual and formal social calls.

Some other items you may want to make sure you always have in your closet? An assortment of solid-colored ties (both regular and skinny) and a solid black belt or two. Also, keep a pair of quality cuff links on hand just to be safe. Retool your idea of casual wear to include these items and you'll be much more impressive when out on the town or working away on Casual Friday. No, you do not need to get rid of your grungy t-shirts and ripped jeans. Just be sure to keep them to yourself; i.e. never be seen in public with them!

Whether your interests are in silver, gold, artistic, sports, or other theme-related cuff link products we've got you covered. Cufflink Aficionado carries a broad range of men's cufflink products designed to meet each connoisseur's individual style and interest. Professional Advice on Consumer Debt Consolidation

You are definitely not alone if you making a frantic attempt to save money and cut down on your debt. Some have even come up with very creative ways of doing so. However, that is not necessary because to carry out consumer debt consolidation is to prevent your family members, especially your wife, from overspending on shopping and also use your common sense. Most would agree that to prevent debt, you need to refrain from the temptations of purchasing shoes. Most women will fall helplessly in love with different pairs of shoes and cannot stop themselves from buying them even if the family is already in debt.

Some women will reason that they are saving their husbands more by buying the pairs of shoes during a sale instead of during the off-sale periods. However, what they did not seem to realize that debt reduction means spending less and only spending on necessities. It is definitely not a necessity to buy another pair of shoes at a sale when you already have a hundred over other pairs! Exercising consumer debt consolidation definitely does not work out that way!

eBay is another distraction. Sometimes consumers tend to buy more junks from eBay instead, thus throwing consumer debt consolidation out of their mind! You might have come across consumers who purchase more junk on eBay than actually do when they are shopping at shops. Firstly, they have not even thought of any use for these items and secondly, they might not even have a place to store such junks. It is definitely not reducing debt to buy from eBay and then reselling the products later because nobody is likely to buy them. You might be better off exercising consumer debt consolidation if you change your password to eBay and forget about it.

So what is a good source of consumer debt consolidation advice? It is none other than the credit union and the banks. Look up the programs that they offer. See if they have any great packages that can help you consolidate all your debt and at the same time offer you're a lower interest rate. When the banks help you to consolidate your debt, they are helping you to come to a compromise with the credit companies to allow you to make lower monthly repayments with lower interest rates as well. This will be beneficial for your credit and is what consumer debt consolidation is all about. It is definitely better than shopping around at sales, thinking that you are saving some money buying these products at low prices when you don't even need them in the first place!

Finally, another point you should take note of when you are trying consolidate debt is not to transfer balances from one credit card to another. Don't care about what the credit-card companies have to say about lower interest rates if you were to transfer your balances over to their banks because you will definitely not be able to restrain the temptations to use the now freed-up balance. As such, you land yourself in more debt! If you are serious about consumer debt consolidation, you should settle the individual debt one by one and get rid of them for good.

Men Dressing For Success

What does dress for success mean? Most guys probably think it means you put on a suit and tie and that shows the world that you're ready for success. Not that a suit and tie won't make you look business ready, but I really hope that in 2008 men are aware that there are other choices!

Dressing for success is a combination of several things. The most obvious one being what you're wearing. It's about how what your wearing makes you look. If you're wearing a suit and tie and the suit doesn't fit your body correctly, and/or it's an older suit that looks a little tattered, what is that saying to the people that see you? If you're wearing a suit that fits you perfectly and is in great shape, then you're at least showing up looking like you're dressed for success.

Let's get away from the suit and tie and talk about other options to looking your best. It's 2008 and the business world is certainly different than it was years ago, and that includes what guys are wearing to work. Many more jobs now are in relaxed environments than in the past, which lends itself to dressing more casual as well. However, this is no excuse to not dressing for success.

Every time you walk out your front door you should be dressed for success. Ask yourself the following questions to find out if you're dressing for success (regardless if you're wearing a suit and tie or jeans and a t-shirt): (1) is what I'm wearing clean? (2) is what I'm wearing the correct size for my body? (3) is what I'm wearing good quality? (4) is what I'm wearing matching (does the shirt match the pants match the socks match ths shoes)? (5) is what I'm wearing making me "feel" confident and good? If you answer "yes" to the aforementioned questions, chances are you are dressed for success regardless if you're wearing jeans and a t-shirt or an expensive Italian made suit.

There's another piece to the puzzle of dressing for success - your grooming habits! The question to ask yourself regarding this is "how well am I groomed?" How well you're groomed goes hand-in-hand with how well you're dressed. To find out how well you're groomed ask yourself: (1) how does my skin look? (2) have I checked the Top 4? (3) is my hair clean and styled? (4) how do I smell? (5) how smooth is my shave? These questions will give you at least a start of what to ask yourself to check if you're "groomed for success".

When you take the time to be dressed for success and groomed for success you really are ready to face the day and draw success to you, therefore, you really are "dressed for success"!

Author David Scott Bartky helps men all over the world look their best with the techniques and advice offered in his book "Grooming Secrets For Men" which can be found at http://www.thestylishman.com. Isn't it time you look your best!

Danica Starts More Engines than Daytona

NASCAR certainly dulled (demolished, as one bookmaker put it) most of the Indianapolis 500's luster many moons ago, but, thanks partly to pinup girl Danica Patrick, the fabled Brickyard event is making a bit of a comeback.

Put the emphasis on bit.

"People just aren't that interested," said Stratosphere Tower Race and Sports Director Robert Jaynes, adding, "but they will be a little more so right before the race."

Indy used to be a Memorial Day staple as people walked around with transitor radios glued to their ears excitedly listening in on the action.

I remember going to the movies and seeing the best crashes, in black and white, on the weekly news.

Now the Indy is run on the Sunday (May 28 this year) before the Monday Memorial Day holiday and folks, who basically don't give a damn about the race anymore, now have cell phones attached to their hearing organs.

Patrick, 24, who has yet to win an IRL event but finished fourth in last year's 500, has brought the circuit some sorely-needed name recognition that has been lacking since the likes of Mario Andretti, Parnelli Jones and A.J. Foyt ruled the roost.

"People are remembering other drivers' names because of her," noted Hilton oddsmaker Jeff Sherman.

"They know the name Dan Wheldon and that he won last year because they were watching to see how she did."

What she did was turn in the highest finish ever by a female while earning Indy Rookie of the Year honors and leading for 19 laps.

The Stratosphere posted a pair of Patrick props just about the time March Madness crowds were sweeping through Las Vegas.

One asked if Patrick, who started karting when she was 10, would win an IRL event this season and the other whether she'd prevail at Indy.

"There just hasn't been any interest," Jaynes said.

"I've had them up for months and I have maybe $100 in bets.

"But with the 500 in May, I'm expecting more soon.

"People are asking about her, but aren't putting down their money.

"NASCAR and the IRL are two very different things.

"I thought there'd be more interest now that the IRL has been on TV the last few weeks, but I haven't seen it."

Jaynes has no qualms about Patrick's qualifications or the fact she's a woman.

"Anyone who can get in a car and drive like that is legitimate," Jaynes declared.

"Being male or female has nothing to do with it."

Jaynes is convinced the day will come when women triumph behind the wheel and also on the World Poker Tour.

"Say I'm a poker pro, we play 99 hands and I win them all," he said.

"Odds are you'll win the next one.

"That's just the way it is.

"Anyone can win anything.

"Look at what Buster Douglas did to Mike Tyson and people said he had no chance."

The Hilton lists multiple Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves as a 4/1 choice, followed by Wheldon at 5/1 and Tony Kanaan and Sam Hornish Jr. at 6/1.

Patrick, Dario Franchetti, Scott Dixon and Michael Andretti are next at 12/1.

Patrick is 15/1 at the Stratosphere.

Among other drivers of interest, Buddy Rice is 15/1, Al Unser Jr. and Scott Sharp are 25/1 and Buddy Lazier is 50/1.

Ed Carpenter is the long shot at 100/1 and the field is 8/1.
